Ski Painting Description: This ski painting was painted in September 2021 in the French Alps. "Les filles au ski" was inspired by the awe inspiring experience of watching high level, female skiers. For example: In world cup ski racing and some other skiing disciplines, it's the girls who often exhibit the most beautiful technique. The details in the tracks in the snow depicted in this painting were painted to show this technical prowess. The skiers depicted in this painting have been painted onto the canvas with thick blobs of paint using careful brush strokes.
